Our story

Little Strummers, based in Buckinghamshire, has been providing fun & accessible guitar & ukulele lessons since 2009. We now also include singing & piano in our teaching portfolio.

Starting with one teacher, we have expanded to a team of ten skilled professionals offering individual & group lessons, in-person & online. Children & adults benefit from our teaching approach which integrates music theory, aural skills, & practical techniques to provide a unique learning experience.

We focus on making music education fun, interactive, & tailored to each student's abilities & interests.

What we believe

Since 2009, these ideas have shaped every lesson we teach:

Music lessons should be fun, creative, engaging & exciting.
Every student deserves personalised attention & a solid musical foundation.
Music supports mental, physical & social well-being.
Music is for everyone - children & grown-ups, beginners & beyond.

Supporting the Community

Our not-for-profit organisation, HS Music CIC, exists to share the positive power of music with the whole community.

Music has the power to bring people together, and our not-for-profit organisation, HS Music CIC, was created to share that power with the whole community. Through HS Music we take live music into care homes, schools and local events, sharing the joy of music with people of all ages.

Our teachers and students give their time to make music accessible to everyone - regardless of age, ability or circumstance. From intergenerational music sessions to festive school visits, every project is about connection as much as music.

We are proud to work alongside organisations such as Hughenden Garden Village and the Royal Star & Garter in High Wycombe, bringing music and companionship to their residents all year round.
